Meet the B Hive: Driving Sustainability from Within at Lorax EPI

At Lorax EPI, sustainability isn't just a service we provide—it's a value we live by.
While we spend our days helping global brands meet their environmental compliance goals, we also recognise the importance of leading by example, in our own operations. That's why we created The B Hive—our internal sustainability team dedicated to reducing our own environmental footprint and fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
A Grassroots Beginning
The B Hive started as a grassroots initiative, formed by a group of passionate team members who wanted to create real change within the business. Since then, it's grown into a cross-functional team that represents departments across Lorax EPI.
The group shares a clear mission:
To identify, implement, and track sustainable practices within our workplace—and ensure that our internal operations reflect the same values we promote to our clients.
What Does the B Hive Do?
The B Hive works from an evolving Environmental Action Log, which serves as a roadmap for our internal sustainability efforts. Some of our key initiatives include:
Green Office Training
We help employees adopt low impact working habits, from reducing energy use to improving recycling efforts and making environmentally conscious day-to-day choices.
Carbon Strategy Development
The B Hive is working on a measurable carbon reduction and offset plan. We're committed to understanding our corporate footprint and taking meaningful steps to reduce it.
Corporate Volunteering Days
We organise opportunities for our team to engage in local environmental projects—giving back to the community while supporting causes that align with our values.
Sustainable Office
From reusing office furniture to donating unwanted items, we're ensuring that our physical workspaces align with circular economy principles.
Why It Matters
The B Hive is more than just an internal working group—it's a reflection of who we are as a company.
We believe sustainability should be inclusive, authentic, and participatory. By giving employees a voice and the opportunity to lead change, we foster a deeper connection to our mission and empower our team to take ownership of our environmental goals.
